Why we built this
AEOiq started when we asked ChatGPT and Claude to recommend products in categories we knew well — and were surprised by how different the answers were from Google results. Some well-known brands were completely absent. Others we'd never heard of were positioned as market leaders.
We realized this wasn't random. Each AI engine has its own understanding of brands, shaped by training data, web citations, and content structure. The brands that showed up consistently weren't just well-known — they were well-structured for how AI processes and synthesizes information.
We built AEOiq to make this visible. Not just a snapshot, but a systematic framework for understanding and improving how AI engines perceive your brand — backed by original research and real data across five major AI platforms.
