AEOiq LLC ("AEOiq," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We collect only what is necessary to provide our AI visibility intelligence service.

2. What We Collect

Information you provide

  • Email address — for account creation, scan delivery, and alerts
  • Brand/website URL — to run AI visibility scans
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe; we never store card numbers

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, scan frequency
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, screen size
  • IP address — for rate limiting and abuse prevention

Scan data

  • AI engine responses — what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews say about your brand
  • AEO scores and metrics — calculated from scan results
  • Historical trends — score changes over time for monitoring subscribers

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the Service (scans, dashboards, reports, alerts)
  • To communicate with you (scan results, alerts, product updates)
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To detect and prevent abuse (rate limiting, bot detection)
  • To generate aggregated, anonymized research and benchmarks

4. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal data
  • We do not share individual scan results with third parties
  • We do not use your data for advertising
  • We do not store payment card numbers (Stripe handles this)

5. Data Retention

Scan results are retained for the duration of your account. Free scan results are retained for 90 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Account deletion removes your personal data within 30 days, though anonymized aggregate data may be retained.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Neon — database hosting (PostgreSQL)
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Upstash — rate limiting (Redis)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We select partners that meet industry-standard security practices.

7. AI Engine Queries

When you run a scan, AEOiq sends queries to third-party AI engines (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity) on your behalf. These queries include your brand name and industry-relevant terms. We do not send your email address, payment information, or other personal data to AI engines.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled, use privacy-respecting tools.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your scan results
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, rate limiting, and regular security audits. API keys and secrets are stored in encrypted environment variables, never in source code.

11. Children

AEOiq is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
